Even though they grew up worlds apart, their worlds would soon collide in the heart of the Nation’s Capital. From the White House to Michelin Star restaurants, Greg and Patricia had already lived lives unimaginable, but they were missing one thing: each other.

Washington winds blow cold in November, especially during an election year, but for two (temporary) Washingtonians a glimmer of hope appeared. Out of 700,000 people they found each other. Living in the same neighborhood nonetheless! Greg and Patricia’s first few dates were full of laughter. They soon would become inseparable, each day making the walk across Lincoln Park to meet.

President Truman once said, “If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog.” Patricia would soon convince Greg of just that. Flying by himself, from Spain, Patricia’s childhood dog “Duko” became a world traveler. Greg, Patricia, and Duko started a new life together in their first apartment in the historic DuPont Circle neighborhood of Washington D.C. During their time in DuPont, they witnessed history on nearly a daily basis. Through social upheaval, political turmoil, and a global pandemic Patricia and Greg only grew closer. Enduring months of lockdowns in their small city apartment, they found true love.
